A man met his great-great-grandson when he was 108 years old. The unforgettable occasion meant everything to him, and he was pleased to learn that the baby was named after him.
Esmond Allcock was on his way to becoming Canada’s oldest resident in 2018. The husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather were all born in 1910 and had a long and rich life. His family was very important to him, and he made every effort to keep in touch with everyone.
Jenna Lehne named her son Esmond after her grandfather. For three decades, he was a constant in her life. While few children get the opportunity to meet their grandparents, infant Esmond did.
